Schedule Your Lessons

After you register, your assigned swim instructor will contact you to schedule your lesson set. Typically, 2-3 lessons are scheduled per week, and your instructor will schedule your entire lesson set when he or she calls you. Consistency/repetition is key to success in learning to swim!

You can expect a call from the instructor starting in May. Before the instructor calls, please check your calendar for any dates that you or your child might not be available for lessons.

What to Bring

  • Swimsuit (student should arrive already dressed)

  • Towel

  • Change of clothes

  • Sunscreen

  • Swim goggles (please do not bring a snorkel or dive mask)

  • Optional: swim cap

Remember to arrive a few minutes before your scheduled lesson time!

Tips for Progress

Our goal is for your child to improve their swimming skills and confidence! Parents can help with this goal using the following tips:

  • Treat swimming as a fun activity, not a punishment

  • Make sure the child attends all lessons

  • Communicate with the instructor

  • Praise your child's progress. Even progress that may seem small to you can be a big accomplishment in swimming!

  • If possible, enroll in multiple lesson sets

  • Go swimming outside of lesson times
